One such event is The All India Student – Young Professionals – Women in Engineering Congress which is the annual hallmark event of the IEEE India Council. Founded in 2000, the AIS(YW)C has grown over the years to become the largest event on the calendar for IEEE members in India to bring the community a bit closer. This year AISYWC’17 is to be hosted by the IIIT Allahabad. It is one of the five Indian Institutes of Information Technology funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The Institution was founded in 1999, and in the following year received university status and the right to award its own degrees. Among engineering colleges in India, IIIT-Allahabad has been ranked 11th by India Today in 2017 and 12 by Outlook India in 2017.
